Confused

What has happened,
I am so confused;
There's such a befuddling mess
Not that I expected any less
Here in this life,
I do not understand;
There's such a great pain
Not temporary, but a permanent stain
Loneliness refuses to wait
In its search for a soul mate
I think it sought me out
This certainly is no desirable route
Where You are
I think and think and think
There is such a thing as redeeming light
Not that it is easy to make anything right
