yhen why am i all alone

sitting here in

a park with snotty kids

and impatient mothers,

watching little old women feed birds

and old men talk to themselves

If love lasts forever

then why doe smy food refuse

to tatse anything but bland

even as i see it a  second time

Why is coffee

now comparable to a  savior

as i sit here

and lay there

and write crappy sad poems

about how i "Miss you"

and "How great you were"

when in reality

you were never you

and i was never me

If love lasts forever

then i think

i'll take

something else
