An Elegy For The Twins
We arose from the ashes of a thousand dead men and women
We stepped up amongst the carnage of twisted metal and broken concrete
and rebuilt what was lost
we remembered what we can not rebuild
and moved onwards against the tides of hatreds and ideologies
To a brave new world
To a brighter future than what was seen that day when ash loomed above all
Now the twins loom over our city once more
And we move onwards to the future
