Edge of the world
I rise up carefully,
my eyes pushed past the edge.
Pale grey rocks reflect in my eyes,
they rolled down the mountain side.
With each step I carefully placed my feet,
until I reached the point.
My feet widely planted,
staring down upon tiny people.
Eyes widened looking out in the distance,
watching mile after mile,
of grey mountain and dried brush,
disappear into the clouds.
No cell reception,
no cell towers.
A picture could never tell,
this true beauty.
