Love By Me
Love is a funny thing too.
It comes into our lives,
a blessing,
but slowly becomes a
horrid burden on the
mind and soul.
We claim to
hate
this beautiful mixture of
pain and pleasure,
but secretly,
in the comfort
of our own thoughts,
we love it.
We love the
tossing and turning
the most terrifying
roller coaster ride
we've ever been on,
and we find sanctuary
in knowing that whether we
close our eyes,
throw our hands up,
or scream
all the way down,
it truly doesn't matter.

I wrote this piece after meeting a beautiful person who I swear changed my life forever.
