The Boy
My breathe shutters when he brushes his sweet hands through his sexy brown hair.
My heart stops when his amazing brown eyes meet mine.
When he writes, his arms flex, revealing the strength of his arms.
But then I stop and remember the blows on my face,
When I’d pushed him too far, and stepped out of place.
The flashbacks overcome me of the promises he made:
“ I’d never hurt you. I love you, you can trust me babe.”
When he came at me, I saw nothing in his eyes, but the hunger for pain.
I remember feeling sorrow and hate,
Not for the boy, but for the decisions
I made.
