Tell Me I'm a Martyr
Look me in the eyes and tell me I’m a martyr.
Tell me what you know for certain
And I will prove you wrong
Tell me I’m a lost cause
Tell me I’m too broken to know the difference
  Between right and wrong
Tell me I’m a murderer of justice
  Tell me I’m a sin
Look me in the eyes and I will take your hand
  I’ll take your heart
  I’ll take your eyes
  I’ll take your brain
  I’ll show you I’m a martyr
I died for what was right
I’ll let you feel the soft wind
  That blows around my skin
I’ll let you see the lilies
  That bloom beneath my feet
I’ll let you think the thoughts
The we all soon enough think
  Am I me?
  Because my heart is wandering
  Scoping out different fields
  It doesn’t like the lilies
  It much prefers the rose
  I need a steady anchor
I need a pair of eyes
Let me take your hand and I’ll let you take mine
