What can I say? What can I do?
For Mom
Impossible to express the thankfulness in a few short words
Impossible to convey the love in a couple hugs
Impossible to reveal the elation in one grin
  Too many surprises to repay
Too many comforting acts to recount
Too many thoughtful words to return
Maybe one ‘thank you’ will make a difference
Maybe a hug can make her merry
Maybe one smile will let her know how happy she makes me
Maybe an act of kindness can make her day brighter
To try to show what can’t be shown in one small act
To try to reveal what I think about her and what she does
To try to make up for everything she struggled through for me
What can I say? What can I do?
