Pretend
The water rippled from the mellow streams
And the sky portrayed in wondrous colors behind the autumn leaves
For it was the end of the day,
Her favorite time of the day.
He lay there watching at the beautiful sky
With one thing on his mind, the question why?
Why she had to live in a land
Where no one survived all the way to the end.
She was the one who trapped herself
And placed herself up high on the tallest shelf
Where the boy couldn’t reach the stunning girl
Who made his whole life a big ol’ whirl
The stunning girl was stuck as well
For the only way to be free was if she fell
Each knight was cut short by the obstacles in the way
Until the rules were broken one day.
She beat the obstacles the previous person placed
Till she made it in front of the creators face.
The creator was not only someone she knew
But some writing on a mirror that read, the biggest weakness is you.
Everything made sense in the stunning girls mind
For she found everything she wanted to find.
She looked over the previously everlasting shelf
And found the silhouette of the curious boy himself.
With a wave and a jump from the scary height,
The boy caught the girl forgetting all fright.
Fright that things will repeat themselves,
But instead they were replaced by chiming church bells.
The once fantasy the two of them had to pretend
Was now a reality that shall be known till the end.
