One White Lie
  One white Lie
  Twisted lips
  Seem to be painful
  But not as painful
  As the tales you spin
  The lies you utter
  You never hurt
  But the Listener does
  For the Listener sees
  The truth seems to evaporate
  The trust has been broken
All by one, little white lie
  “It’s harmless” you claim
  With your wide eyes
But your wide eyes seem narrowed and suspicious
  To the Listener
Who see that the “harmless” lie
  Happen more often
  And all will cease
  The Listener looks
“There is no harm, is there?”
  Yet, the Listener knows
One white Lie turns into one hundred
  There’s no harm after all
  Is there?

I want people to realize how damaging even one white lie can be. It eventually becomes a disease.
