I CAN’T NOT WRITE ABOUT YOU
Whenever I sit down to write
And I mean really write
I clear my mind
Put my phone on airplane mode
Open my laptop and think.
The problem is when I try to think of something meaningful,
I can only think of you.
Of the times we had together
I forget the detrimental bumps in the road
That caused a mudslide; an avalanche
You have become my obsession.
I can’t stop writing about you
For fear I will forget all of the memories
If I stop writing, our relationship will be lost
Into the lonely abyss of lost memoirs
