You'd Be Surprised
You’d be surprised if I told you now,
How a leaf relates to my life somehow.
Constantly falling, floating down.
How a smile can turn into a frown.
No one notices you in this crowd.
One of many, slowly falling down.
I thought no one cared about me,
Now my body is swinging carelessly.
You know I can’t do this anymore.
I don’t feel the way that I felt before.
Empty, yeah I know it’s cliche,
But it’s sad that anybody has to feel this way.
Why do people push you to your limits?
Why don’t people understand it?
The way they throw you down?
Society’s the water and I can’t help but drown.
Yeah, you’d be surprised if I told you now.
