I am a scientist curing cancer
White lab coats hang on hooks like white drapes all in a row.
Goggles sit in a basket waiting to see every discovery that is made.
Gloves wonder, packed into boxes like kids on a schoolbus, if they will get to feel the magic of a cure.
Minds never rest pondering what went wrong? How do we make it better? When will we find a cure?
Cries rip through the silence of a waiting room as a family gets told their loved one is no longer fighting.
Patients fight every day for a life they dream of when the cancer goes away.
Treatments are extreme but nothing like the impact of a cure.
DNA is analyzed to see what is going on.
Mutations are monitored like children on a playground.
Time ticks by and nothing seems to work.
Cures can’t be found unless you have time.
Families look to us to save their loved ones.
We are only scientists looking for a cure.
