The Boys of April
The season has begun,
Opening day crowds
Energized
Like it’s a World Series game.
Boosted by Charged by
Riding the wave of
Freshness.
Popcorn,
Peanuts,
And Hot dogs
Fill the air.
Each team’s ace anxious
Like they are playing
Little league ball once again.
Each team is primed up.
Play ball!

What inspired me to write this poem was my love for the game of baseball. I love watching baseball. What I hope people will get out of this poem is that they can relate to their opening day experience.
