The Younger You
What has become of you?
Are you everything you dreamed of?
Would the little girl you used to be, be proud,
of who you’ve become?
Do you think she would be pleased, the younger you?
Would she see the scars and know how you fought?
Or would she see them and be disgusted,
of who you’ve become?
Are you scared to look in the mirror, and see the horrors you’ve created?
Which part you you hate more the scars, the dark circles or the protruding ribs?
What would the little girl say,
of who you’ve become?
Why do you do this to yourself?
What have you don't that deserves this punishment?
How do they help the sharp blades, the alcohol, the dearth of calories?
Why is this who you’ve become?
