Running for my Life
He dragged me along so I could see this through,
And I didn’t know what I was getting into.
When he wipes the smile right off his face
I start to wonder why I’m in this place.
My head’s screaming “Run!” but my feet won’t move,
And he’s got other plans and a point to prove.
So we’re hiding in the shadows with a disguise.
Suddenly I see the monster in his eyes.

It’s too late now; no way I can back out.
Gotta’ keep my mouth shut when I wanna’ shout
Because I’d be dead if somebody heard,
So I just do my job and don’t say a word.
Soon as they flick it on I’m drowning in the light,
And everybody else is out of sight.
Then my palms start to sweat, my stomach starts to churn
Because I can see there’s nowhere left to turn.

And now I only wish that I could move my feet
Just as fast as my heart has begun to beat.
The cold wind’s whipping through my hair,
And it burns my eyes but I don’t dare
Stop until I know that I won’t get caught.
‘Cause the siren’s gonna’ if I’m guilty or not.
So now I’m running, running for my life.
I can’t stop running, running for my life.

Yeah, I’m running, running for my life.
I can’t stop running, running for my life.
 Running for my life.
