Sonnet : Time
Feeble attempts to revive what’s already dead,
Forgetting moments born have already died,
It is this endless cycle we always dread,
Time lets the blood running through be dried.
Human Ignorance only paints the destination for the brochure,
And valuable moments get wished away,
When there is nothing beyond, the destination is your torture,
The rug is pulled out from under, for that we sway.
Merely a drop in the pond we are,
For what seemed like forever was only seconds past,
When the light at the end of the tunnel seemed so far,
Only to realize that light is a train coming at you fast.
One day closer to death,
Time bids one final breath.
