My First
The cold, hard statue glides straight down the hall
As it glides by, my hearts beats fast but dead
My eyes follow its graceful path and I fall
I remember that day and what was said
Your face was flawless and your laugh so great
But now it’s different when you pass me by
Our love or whatever it was called is hate
It turned out this was all a big dumb lie
Love reached out and grabbed my heart then crushed it
When you held me I felt safe and secure
Your touch was like a drug that I can’t quit
Even though it’s all gone I will endure
My love for you is stronger than ever
You’re my first love today and forever
