Sonnets
Oh, how I adore assembling sonnets
When one line rhymes and the next fights back
They are worse than a repulsive lady in a bonnet
Or an older man hunched over carrying a sack

And yet I must indulge thee
 With these frivolous verses
 Working with creativity
 Instead of useless nurses

I embarrass myself with these random thoughts
Because I respect sonnets as I do haikus
Simply thinking of them brings my stomach to knots
Summoning vomit to my mouth and puke

Dear sonnets please don’t take offense
But to me, you’ve never made much sense
