Raging storms drench over my broken heart
The clouds of hate begin to rule my soul
Been told emotions were wrong from the start
Don’t speak; ladies know their place, know their role

Society's taught me to hate myself
They've taken from me everlasting hope
They've put me on an unreachable shelf
I am falling down this slippery slope

But I won't let them overpower me
I promise, Geoff, I'll be the difference
The feelings I've felt seem to be the key
As sadness leads to the path to patience

For one must find pain to understand love
Once that's known, acceptance will rise above
