Jealous Of The Sun
I saw you standing against the ocean
I was jealous of the sun on your skin
A stubborn resolve met constant motion
My breath was silenced by a dropping pin
So you flew away, aloof and unchanged
O'er the sea, singing to constellations
I was consumed and became quite deranged
My words were lost within their translations
I gathered my head and stumbled away
Content to lie in your Grace for an hour
Now I hold back all the things I would say
Lest you slay me with your curious power
Ironic that I thought myself Hamlet
For I was Ophelia when we met
