Insecurity
This darkness has consumed my very mind
It taunts me of my mistakes and my flaws.
It has covered my view and now I'm blind
It has broken my principles and laws.
Alone, ostracized from the world around
When I feel already down and broken.
These whispers I hear are keeping me bound
Whether I'm asleep or if I'm woken.
Laughter rings out while I'm in solitude
Hiding in the corner of my abyss
Fighting with my mind in this bloody feud
Hoping to gain some sort of serene bliss
Now where is this happy ending I need?
Or maybe it's not my time to be freed.
