Favorite Quote:
What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us<br /> -Ralph Waldo Emerson

Wretched Killers sit high upon their throne
Lurid colors adorn their bloodied jewel
Their soul is midnight they’re nothing but cruel
Yet they have “the right” to make peasants groan
Scuttling below their pitiful drone
Servants that perform the task that do gruel
Treacherous tasks their reward to be fuel
For the ceaseless flame surrounded by stone
For the alternate types are rare indeed
Their seats glisten as dazzling as their soul
Yearning for peace for mankind as a whole
For their domain they’d sacrifice and bleed
All because they comprehend their true role
To deliver their people out of need

This piece is an Italian Sonnet about the different types of leaders/presidents that can exist. I was inspired by the recent issues occurring with the presidential candidates.
