Getting a D on a test
Once upon a time It was September twenty first and the year was twenty eighteen. It started on my final class of six grade, social studies with Mrs.James and today we were going to do the social studies test I was very nervous for the test because if I get a D or lower my mom will banned me from screens so I have to do well so I won’t get banned from screens. I did study for the test so I felt a little bit confident. I did the test answering question by question by question by question sweat dripping on every question. My heart was beating every millisecond as I was doing the test. Right after answering every question on the social studies test I turned the test. Mrs.James started grading everyone’s test. I walked home from school feeling like I got the highest grade on the test. I told my Mom that I have to wait until Monday to see my grade turns out they never show the grade until thursday so I had to wait.
The day was September twenty seventh. It felt like years until I could see my grade and finally today I got my grade for the social studies test. I was thinking I will get a C on the social studies test. There was only 5 minutes left of class Mrs.James called on me during class, I went to her desk, Mrs. James told me my social studie grade. “Your Grade was a D” Mrs.James said. Suddenly I cried like everyone in the world knew I got a D on the social studies test. I ran home fast as a cheetah and then when I got home was crying on the couch, It felt like the house was flooding with my tears. Later on my mom got back home from bus duty. Mom said “Can you take a retake?'' I felt so happy like there was an audience cheering me on because At first I didn’t know you can retake on a test. My mom also said to me that I was free from screens which made me happy as the happiest person on the planet.
The day was October first. I studied more and more so I can get a C or higher. For the retake test I already knew some of the answers. I was super confident on the retake. When I did the retake test I already knew I was going to get a C or higher. At last I finished the test and turned it in. Before long Mrs.James showed my grade that the grade was none other than a C I felt Happy as there was no sweat dripping down. I walked home as a normal person then I told my mom I got a C and my mom was so proud of me for doing the retake. Whenever I get a D on a test. At the end I will always take the retake option and get a better grade.
