Wednesday
Lilly has a smile that can light up the world. Happiest girl you could meet. Straight A’s that were never doubted. Her hair smelled like flowers in May. She never knew what it was like to not be okay. She had never experienced it. That wasn’t a bad thing. If there was no reason to be sad, why would she be?
She knew this boy that made her smile ten times brighter. Made her days ten times better. He would hug her and his warm touch felt like nothing she had ever felt before. His eyes were so honest, she saw nothing but the real him. Just him.
Wednesday. Lilly found out why people cry. Why they hurt day after day. Year after Year. How insomnia came to be. Why down was the only position their eyes took. No more smiles. No more A’s. No more flowers in May. Not okay. No more good days. No more warm touch. No more beautiful eyes. So honest. Just him. No more.
