I Just Paint

I have fingers, and I have a soul.
my paintbrush moves slow
I have ears, and I have a heart
my fingers wander all over my art.
it's not about making money.
it's not about pleasing them.
it's not blood in my veins.
it's paint.
if you cut me I don't bleed.
if you punch me I don't bruise.
if I get angry I don't blowup
I just paint.
it pours out onto canvas
out as my pain.
out as a promise
that from everything I shall gain
