Try Your Luck
Next time for sure I’ll try my luck
I have to be more confident
How should I start the conversation?
Just give her a compliment?
“Yea, that should work for sure“
A thought I pondered mentally
And I couldn’t help but wonder
“Does she ever think of me?”
Does she know the love I feel for her
The nights I couldn’t sleep
As I tossed and turned regretting
That she wasn’t next to me
Does she know that she’s a goddess?
Through the eyes of which I see
That her eyes shimmer brightly
Like the moonlight off the sea
That her walk is just as graceful
As the clouds up over me
And her smile can turn a man to stone
She’s pretty as can be
In the corner of my eye
I see her walking up to me
I say, “This is my chance”
And it will end well hopefully
I open up my mouth to talk
But nothing comes to me
“Get confidant, one compliment!”
But I just couldn’t speak
I couldn’t find the words to say
My heart dropped to the floor
Next time for sure I’ll try my luck
I’ll try my luck for sure
