The Nameless Hurt
There is nothing left,
You just took it all.
Maybe what you did is theft,
But you didn't stall.
I felt it being ripped,
But there's no blood to show
How my energy of life you sipped,
With an arow but no bow.
“Do you know the feeling, when your heart is so hurt, that you could feel the blood dripping?” ? Lady Gaga
You waited 'till it stopped,
Before my voice could even call.
You crouched and then you dropped:
"Does it really hurt at all?".
hurt= to cause bodily injury to, to cause bodily pain to, to damage or decrease the efficiency of (a material object) by striking, rough use, improper care, to affect adversely; harm, to cause mental pain to; offend or grieve
I watched your frozen stare,
Just killed me when you need.
How could you even dare?
Then act like it should not bleed.
I asked myself why?
Why am I really here?
Why do I even try?
I try not to show a tear.
“Nobody can hurt me without my permission.” ? Mahatma Gandhi
I realize just then,
That maybe there's a role.
How could I not see it when
It hit me like a wall.
The wounds you always made
Would never leave a burn,
As the the love I wear, would never trade.
For a hate I'd carry even to my urn.
“Here she is, all mine, trying her best to give me all she can. How could I ever hurt her? But I didn’t understand then. That I could hurt somebody so badly she would never recover. That a person can, just by living, damage another human being beyond repair.” ? Haruki Murakami, South of the Border, West of the Sun
Now, I rise and wait.
I wait for you to take your turn,
Because I'll care 'till the day,
That day when I couldn't name your hurt.
