Body
My feminine build
My curves are a curse.
Every step I take is temptation,
My eyes ‘invite you’ to stare,
My body stiffens with every unspoken word,
The silence is deafening and I hear you groan.
I know what you’re thinking.
This body of mine only made to be perceived;
By judgemental eyes burning holes through my skin,
The heat so unbearable,
As if the fiery depths of hell were consuming me.
The hundred eyes of Argus -
Picking me apart,
Inch by inch and piece by piece.
The disappearing skin,
My visible blood and tears,
Draw you even closer to me.
So I shrink down,
To the size of a mouse
And crawl far back into my house,
So their eyes cannot continue to see my body.
Without seeing me.
