You Are Good!
You are my Boaz, my kinsman Redeemer.
You are Hosea, who will not desert me.
If I am Your Rachel, You are my Jacob: You went to the greatest extent to own me.
You are my Jesus, my Savior and King.
You are my Lord, the One whom I serve.
I am Your Gomer. I know of your love, yet I turn to the world to satisfy.
I am Your Israel, who turned to other gods.
I am Your Eve, deliberately disobeying.
I should be Your Hagar, Abram's deserted.
I should be Your Leah, Jacob's unloved.
Yet I am Your Sarah, who bore a promise.
I am Your Rachel, Jacob's beloved.
Why do You give such position and honor?
I am a beggar, no gift to offer.
Yet the King had compassion,
He clothed me royally.
He made me His princess,
His jewel of great price.
Yet I stray to the alleys,
Lurking in my old ways.
If there was ever a prodigal son, it was me.
Yet You chased me, found me, rebuked me, loved me.
What have I done to deserve Your grace?
I thank You for Your love.
Like David, I will praise You publicly.
How great are You, God, to adopt a worthless wretch like me!
