Endless Depths
They never tell you
that love is unconditional
You love whom you choose to
or at least, that’s what you think
You never really know until you lose them
of whether or not you truly love
Thinking you hate someone,
will not be proven until
the very end
I guess when you lose people
your heart already knows, you can feel it
Each time someone is lost, your heart
loses an important piece, a piece that
Allows love in
Once it’s gone, there is no getting it back
No way to recover and heal your wounds
To lick them clean and savor your life once more
There’s a time when your heart is no more
The black hole doesn’t go away
Death becomes her, one once said
