The Night
I cried at the sunset
 I screamed at the moon
 I cursed at the wind
 I whimpered in the night
I fell to my knees in the damp midnight grass
The wind was calm but the dark was relentless
I demanded and begged at the nothing in the night
"Why," I simply whispered to the wind
Maybe at the time I seemed crazy but I knew just who I was yelling at and what I wanted
 I screamed again
 I struck the ground
I demanded and begged at the nothings in the night
that if they could take her...
 they can take me too.
