Beauty Within Me
I see your beauty all around
In the sun, the earth, the sky
But I can’t see it in myself
And I still do not know why
My mirror says what I should be
And so I still try and try
To find my beauty deep within
When I can’t, to you I cry
“Why did you make me look this way?
I’m such a big mistake”
To you I cry in my sorrow
And I feel that your heart aches
“Why did you call my masterpiece
Something to be thrown away?”
“Please know I made you beautiful
And this you should never say”
And so I delve into your word
You show me just who I am
I see that you have crafted me
And for me you sent your lamb
Dotk
