Being Human
I see drawings and pictures
In the poorest of huts
And dirtiest of corners;
I see dreams and hopes
In the most burdened of hearts
And the most deprived of souls.
I see the colours and butterflies
Which ought to be seen
By the weariest of eyes;
I see the unblemished, blue sky
To touch which all want to fly.
I see the thirst for youth and the grace
In the impending old age;
The dazzling moon light
Breaking the dark shroud of the night!
I see myself and me
In every suffering soul,
And in all of you, he and she;
And I think what I would have done
If I were there, then, them????
And then I try to be kind…
I try to be a ‘human’!
