Are you still hurting?
no,
I stopped hurting
when you took my name
and left me on the side of the road
with nothing but my heart in a tin cup
and 47 cents for gum
to wash the taste of you out of my mouth.
Are you still hurting?
No,
my pain hurt your ears
so I silenced it
ripped your ears out of your head
so you wouldn't have to hear me
so that you would hurt instead
Are you still hurting?
No,
because,
my lips ripped off,
to stop me from yelling out
to your malicious,
lovely self;
that of course,
I am still hurting.
