He opens the door on to the stoop
Cautiously and furtively.
His stance
Suggests that he is not quite sure
If his own attire
Satisfies the severe self-critic of himself.

Walking briskly to Union Station for work,
He advertises his chic, springtime outfit
As he continues his energetic walk
Along the multicolored,
Pebble stone path to the station.

His skintight pants remain glued to his legs
While his pink tie
Consistently swifts across his slightly,
Unbuttoned, yellow blouse.

Is this man always so optimistic?
Is style the only devotion he has?
Or is he secretive of some talent
He does not show?
Maybe he stands on a stage
In front of thousands of people,
And sings to an intrigued audience
As the hot, bright lights
Dazzle upon his feminine character?

Finally arriving at work in Union Station,
He composes himself,
And enters his tie shop.
Eager to sell his inventory
(Especially since he can advertise his own, cheerful tie),
The man sits joyously upon his stool
And opens up “People Magazine,”
While crossing his toned legs.

Suddenly, a customer!
Then, hour following the next hour
More inventory sold!
Oh how ecstatic this man acts
At the concluding part of the day!
