Love Like Acid
How can this be human
 To feel this tearing inside
A burning that devours my heart
 And feasts on my soul
 How can this be normal
To be consumed by utter pain
For tears to be like acid down my cheeks
Is this all there really is
 A constant emptiness, a yearning
 One that has no remedy
Where is the cure for the animal inside
The one that rips at my innards
 Inflicting discomfort by the second
Where is the freedom for this rage
An anger that pushes at my throat
 Screams to be set free
How much longer can I breathe
 Suffocating here in this cage
The air around me pressures my heart
 Causing me to wonder
How much longer will it beat to “love”?

Extremely.
This is me venting about a certain situation that couldn't become more tangled and irritating if it tried.
