Thug Life
Let me tell ya’ll a secret
I wasn’t expecting it
9 shots to the head
We all knew he was dead
but his life lived on
His death set an example
For those of us… who lived for the streets
Snitches get stitches
Was the code written into our skin
With the sound of a bullet
Resonating thru the air
We knew life wasn’t fair
Fighting all day Dying each night
Turning religious
looking for that light
Selling our souls
for a little bit of peace
only to realize that getting a gun…was the key to living on the streets
8 shots to the chest
7 kids dying 6 mothers grieving
5 days a week
shooting to live
4 bags of weed
trying to get ourselves to forgive
3 thugs looking for relief in a bottle
2 days of rest
1 chance to live
