I Just Want to Be a Kid

Mentor, teach me life.
Show me how the flowers bloom.
The power of words,
Make me cry
Make me cringe
Every damned day?
It makes me think,
How I was cradled as a child.
I look through these photo albums.
Four, five, six...
Ten, eleven, twelve...
I'm having flashbacks again...
I had that dream,
I was talking to myself,
A seven year old...
I wish I was him
I wish I didn't have to see,
Black fog and corpses in my mind.
It's too scary
I hate it...
Make it go away!
Please!
I just want to be a Kid again.
