Love
is the melody I hear
when the composer of the universe
plucks on my heartstrings

Love
is the essence of every being,
every ray of light,
every creature that lives and dies

Love
is the flower that grows from
the debris on my heart floor,
half-soil, half-ash

Love
is when the cosmos,
time and space and all,
hovers in my torso,
and the universe in my chest
expands infinitely, stretching
my soul to its limits.
