Through the Blue
I fell from heights so high
From sky to ground I fell
Watching as the birds flew by
Waiting for the final fall
To feel the cold hard ground
I fell through blue
I watched as day turned to night
As light faded to dark
Waiting to see the green, green grass
To hear the whispers of the wind
To feel the airs last kiss
I fell through blue
I felt the airs cool breath blowout
And heard their sad, sad melody
As I neared the expanse below
And I smiled to myself
And watched as sky met earth
In that final second still I heard
a calm voice say, "Come home my child, come home"
As I fell through blue
