If you were alone,
I would be your friend.
I would eat with you at lunch,
And stay with you till’ the end.
If you were a sword,
I’d be the shield.
We’d be a working pair
With nothing to yield.
If you were a book,
I’d be the spine.
Holding you up
For the rest of time.
If you were a friend,
And I was one too,
We’d always be together,
And I would always love you.
