if he remembers
that hearts are a funny thing because
people have a preconceived notion that
you can always fix them.
no matter how much you tell yourself it won't happen -
if you drop a glass bowl it will
break.
and glue can cover the cracks but
they’re still there.
aren’t they.
so the next time you throw your heart out the 4 story window
please remember
that the pavement has a very different idea of “catch"
than you.
