I Am Out There
I feel closed in but exposed. wide awake but ah drift in a doze. I feel naked yet I'm clothed. I travel on searching for a home. The wind is warm as the clouds roll the thunder strikes the sky is blue. The lighting flicks on a switch for a flash as if to brighten and coo, the angry cumulonimbus to sleep. The flash made a fire at the end of my street. A notion to turn around or walk to death's doorway and greet, whoever I may. I will leave this retched town someday. For now I am out there beyond that which you can see.
