Embers
All that remains…
Or perhaps all that ever was…
As the other pieces of me burn away,
Crushed beneath the feet of others,
stomped away so I shall not spread,
I still exist here.
I remain me.
With the useless armor I adorned
to the point I became unrecognisable
I feel I can finally see my true face.
A face once hidden by masks,
Is now revealed to be made of masks.
A face fitting for the person I am.
A torrent of faces that change with the wind,
Now stripped down to one.
I am all thats left now,
For I am no longer the blazing fire I once was,
I am simply embers of what once was.
But I know…
Even Embers can start a flame.
