"Life may have limits, but you can always exceed them."-Billi Jo Baumann

No one understands true pain,
No one will ever know,
How it feels to endure pure agony,
And all it conquest inflicted upon,
One another.

A million eyes scan the hall,
Looking for the next helpless victim,
The eyes of prey and predator lock,
The games are about to begin.

Predator makes the first move,
As the prey stands in pure fear,
shuddering and silent the prey waits,
For any chance of escape they may have.

With no way out the the predator strikes,
Striking again and again the predator leaves,
Leaving the prey motionless and desperate for life,
Gasping for air that is surrounded by darkness.

Voicees call for them but they can’t reply,
Struggling for life as they lay motionless on the ground,
“why me?” they ask themselves,
“what did I do wrong?”

Hospital beds try to comfort them,
But time will not allow it,
Silent cries from within,
Are never to be heard.

As one life is lost,
Another will move on,
And in its life,
Knowledge of life and death will be accquired.

When I was a boy, I would always hear scary things in the news and my mother would say to me, "Always look for the helpers. Everywhere you look you will always find people helping." - Fred Rogers

Not bad. I can't find anything wrong with it, it's well written. One of the better poems I've seen. 4/5

&ldquo; If you&#039;re losing your soul and you know it, then you&#039;ve still got a soul left to lose&rdquo; <br /> ― Charles Bukowski

I don't know where to begin....I guess I'll begin with praise. I thought that the idea was good, and the rhythm was steady. That said, there were a couple grammatical errors, and I think it could have been fleshed out a bit more. The fourth stanza I felt was especially rushed, but I think going over it again would make it more polished and tease out some of the distracting bits :) I hope you know I mean this well, I only want to help! And I really liked the fact that you made it a predator-prey metaphor, that was very interesting.

Exercise to stimulate, not to annihilate. The world wasn&#039;t formed in a day, and neither were we. Set small goals and build upon them.

Absolutely fantastic!!!  Its beautiful, tells a story and the rhythm is very good!  Keep up the great writing!!!!!
