Wilting Roses
A woman dressed in white,
A man dressed in black.
Oh what they would give
to take it all back.
There's a man in the chapel
but it's not who she wants.
She has a shard in her hand
She won't abide the priest's command.
He has a hole in his heart where she should be,
but instead she's fled the chapel and he's on his knees.
There's stars in his eyes
where his love once grew,
and scars on hers
where her hatred thrived.
She grew roses for him,
but they didn't bloom red.
Her wilting flowers were better left dead.
