"What if the person in the puddle is real, and you're just a reflection?" -Calvin & Hobbes

I heard it through the grapevine

Through cupped hands, and mendacious laughter

Their mocking echoed eerily, up through the cobwebbed rafters

I heard it through the grapevine

That evil dances upon thy shoulders

Regret droops down my once bright eyes, remorse 1,000 boulders

I heard it through the grapevine

And from the fireflies in the trees

Now stick and stones will break my bones, and lies will always hurt me

I really liked this. I liked your vocabulary and all the "mataphors" (am I using that correctly?). It was really good. Keep it up! :D
