Sometimes my heart
Feels like a target
People love my art
But they forget
Who made the art
Whose feelings I show
Like I have no part
It is such a low blow
They do not stop to think
Of the joy, love, and pain
Behind the ink
It is so vane

When you look at my art,
Please think of my heart!

The author's comments:
I wrote this piece when some people saw some art of mine but they didn't know it was mine. I stood there critiquing it with them and I realized that they don't see the feeling I put into each sketch, drawing, and painting. It breaks my heart that they don't. Because that's why I love art. I can express myself without using words.
