My Dog
My dog stares up at me with big blue eyes,
His giant head is tilted to one side,
I see him there and my love multiples,
Dogs bring happiness to people worldwide.
His tail wags back and forth with sight of me,
With two floppy ears that hang rather low,
His little face is what I long to see,
He’ll play fetch no matter how far I throw.
Chewing up my shoes is his specialty,
But his sweet veneer makes up for it all,
He will obey my commands endlessly,
From sit to speak he will come to my call.
Dogs can bring many people happiness,
Especially those who feel loneliness.
